Bulk Resume Upload

Top Echelon Recruiting Software’s bulk resume upload feature allows you to mass parse resumes into your database to create new People records.

In order to use the bulk resume upload feature, you’ll need to compress your resume files into a single zipped folder. For more information and instructions on zipping your file, click here.

Please note:

  • There is a 2GB limit for each .zip file that is uploaded
  • The ability to bulk upload resumes is restricted to only those users that have permission to bulk upload
  • If the bulk upload feature comes across a duplicate record, it will either update the existing record or simply attach the new document based on your agency’s parse settings

To bulk upload resumes:

  • Expand the Sidebar in the top right corner of the software and click on the Settings icon
  • Click to expand the Data Management section and then select Bulk Resume Upload

  • To begin a new resume upload, click the Upload Resumes button in the top right corner of the page

  • In the new window, drag and drop your .zip file or click the Browse button to select the appropriate file from your hard drive

  • After selecting the appropriate file, you’ll see a slide-out message confirming that your file was received and the upload of the file is in progress
    • Please note that this upload may take several minutes depending on the file size
    • A progress bar at the top of the window will update accordingly
    • Do not close this window until the upload is complete
    • You may continue to use Top Echelon Recruiting Software during the upload process

  • You’ll see a File Uploaded message at the top of the window once the file has been completely uploaded and the parse is ready to begin
    • You may close this window once you receive the File Uploaded message

  • Your file will be entered into the queue and you’ll see a new notification in the top right corner of Top Echelon Recruiting Software once the parse is complete

  • If you wish to review the details of your bulk upload, click the link in the notification, or navigate to the Bulk Resume Upload page within Settings
    • From this page, you can review the following:
      • The date and time of the upload
      • The name of the file
      • The user who requested the upload
      • The number of new People records
        • Clicking on this number will allow you to drop these People into a new Hotlist
      • The status of the resume upload and a link to error descriptions, if applicable
